I am a theatre artist and arts & culture grants manager based in Edmonton, Canada working across directing, writing, and audiovisual design, with a focus on integrating digital technology into live performance.
I hold a Master of Arts in Contemporary Performance Making (Brunel University London), a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education in Drama & Communications Technology (University of Alberta) and a certificate in Project Management (University of California, Irvine).
My practice has taken me across Canada, Scotland, and England.
ARTISTIC PRATICE
As a writer and director, I approach performance creation from a digital standpoint—exploring how sound and projection can shape narrative, atmosphere, and audience experience. My directing style merges technology with live performance to create immersive theatrical work.
In 2010, I directed The Insanity of Mary Girard which received six provincial awards, including Outstanding Directing, Outstanding Ensemble, and Outstanding Sound Design.
Additional directing credits: Misery (Keyano Theatre), Sexy Laundry (Keyano Theatre, Canada), Seussical, the Musical (University of Alberta), Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein (University of Alberta), Proud (Finborough Theatre), and Freeing Heaven’s Secrets—a sound art play which was shortlisted for a 2016 DBACE award in London, with public performances in Edmonton and Fort McMurray.
AUDIOVISUAL DESIGN
As a Freelance Audiovisual Designer, I create video, projection, sound, and music for theatrical and multidisciplinary projects. Recent work includes Misery (Keyano Theatre), Quarter Life Crisis (OvalHouse & Underbelly, Edinburgh Fringe), Lottery (The Pleasance London), Proud (Finborough Theatre) and The Slave (Tristan Bates Theatre), as well as the 2020, 2021, and 2022 Wood Buffalo Excellence in Arts Awards.
LEADERSHIP & CONSULTING
In 2019, I founded Symmetree Theatre, a company dedicated to amplifying stories from marginalized communities.
I also work as an Arts Development Consultant supporting Theatre grant initiatives through the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.
